Add olive oil to a large pot and sautee diced onions for 3-5 minutes or until soft.
Add ground beef to the pot and break it apart. Cook for 6-7 minutes or until browned.
Add all the spices, broth, tomatoes, and beans, and stir well.
Bring the liquid to a low boil, then reduce the heat to low or medium-low and let the chili simmer uncovered for 20-25 minutes.
Remove the pot from the heat and let sit for 5-10 minutes before serving, tastes great served with rice.
